Alex Wright- Managing Parnter

Alex is the Managing Partner for Burn the Ships Financial. After years of helping large corporations meet quarterly earnings goals—sometimes at the cost of employee well-being and ethical priorities—Alex realized his true calling lay in helping small to medium-sized businesses thrive. He now dedicates his efforts to sharing financial expertise with private businesses that often lack the resources to access such knowledge.

Prior to founding Burn the Ships, Alex had an extensive career in corporate finance, working at several Fortune 500 companies across a wide spectrum of industries. He has nearly 15 years’ experience as a divisional CFO working as a strategic partner to operational leadership.

Alex has a BS in Management from Georgia Tech and an MBA from Wake Forest. Prior to his corporate career, he served as a Naval Officer making multiple deployments overseas to the Persian Gulf and Indian Ocean.

He also is a founding member of the Peachtree Corners City Council where he has been elected four times. He is married with four children.

Judy Keo- Partner

With a diverse background in entrepreneurship, accounting, and financial consulting, Judy Keo’s mission is clear: Empowering Businesses to Succeed.

An Atlanta native, Judy began her career as an entrepreneur, successfully managing a nail salon in Alaska while earning her B.S. in Accounting from the University of Alaska Anchorage. Returning to Georgia in 2017, she built a distinguished career specializing in public accounting, manufacturing, A&E, and construction.

Judy Keo is a seasoned accounting professional specializing in bookkeeping, financial reporting, and drafting financial statements for businesses seeking clarity and control over their finances. With expertise in public accounting, manufacturing, A&E, and construction, she helps companies streamline accounting processes, implement internal controls, and establish financial procedures for long-term success.

Donald Hood - CPA, CFMVA

Corporate Finance | M&A Experience | Supply Chain Finance | ERP Integration

Donald has been in finance and accounting for over 20 years and has a track record of success at the corporate level. He has experience in a wide range of finance topics including FP&A, M&A, supply chain finance, and ERP implementation. He has worked in large private businesses as well as Fortune 1000 public companies.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Augusta University and an MBA from Kennesaw State University. He also is an active CPA, licensed in Georgia, and is also a Certified Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst and a Six Sigma Green Belt. He is also in the process of earning a certification as a Mergers & Acquisitions Professional.

 Over the past 20 years, Donald has made a difference with companies such as Truist, Kellogg’s, Southwire, and Central Garden & Pet. For instance, in a controller role with a $6 billion manufacturing company he was able to reduce the time to close from 30 days to 5 days by employing lean principles to the accounting department processes. He was also instrumental in leading the SAP implementation in several large business units on time and within budget. He has also been actively involved in due diligence, QoEs, and integrations for dozens of potential acquisitions.

Donald has been married for 25 years and has two daughters and spends his spare time hunting and watching UGA football games. He is actively involved in his local church and has coached youth soccer, basketball, and participated in several Habitat for Humanity builds over the last several years.
